Game Overview
Big Ambitions is an isometric business simulation and life-management game where players take on the role of a young, ambitious entrepreneur who moves to New York City with only a small loan and a dream of building a commercial empire from scratch. The main way the game works is by involving the player in buying low and selling high, as well as in optimising all the various aspects of a growing business portfolio: the player begins by flipping cheap items—such as hot dogs, newspapers, and flowers—from a small street stall, then reinvests the profits they make into bigger retail spaces, hires staff, negotiates contracts with suppliers, and gradually expands their business to include restaurants, clothing stores, electronics shops, and even real estate.

Unlike conventional tycoon games, which hide the details, Big Ambitions calls for active participation in daily operations—this includes ordering stock, setting prices, designing the layout of the stores, managing staff schedules, and even operating the cash register yourself during busy periods—thus offering a highly detailed and immersive experience in which every decision, whether it's about the placement of products or the wages paid to employees, has a direct effect on the bottom line. The game also includes a full day-and-night cycle and a personal life for the protagonist, so players must balance work with sleep, food, personal hygiene, and social interaction, or risk burnout and declining performance.
